Jailbreaking Your iPod Touch/iPhone With iJailbreak |

Jailbreak with Apps for 1.1.4 Using iJailbreak | Ok, we have previously used Ziphone’s application to jailbreak our iPod Touch. However we forgot to mention that we already had paid for our iPhone apps and thus why they were showing up on our device and possibly not yours. So we have found the application that can do it all in about 3 minutes.
| Visit www.ijailbreak.com and download the newest version, 0.6. Please notice that this application is only available for Apple’s operating system. If you have a Windows PC this application will not work. So you can visit their site and look the downlink or simply click here to download. In the picture below we have a fully functional iPod Touch that was jailbroken using iJailbreak. Prior to this we had used Ziphone, but didn’t take note of the missing iPhone apps because we had already purchased them. Yes, yes, we know we are impatient. :)
| | Ok, let’s get started on jailbreaking your iPod Touch. So once you have downloaded iJailbreak, keep it somewhere where you will be able to find it quickly. We normally download to our desktop, or keep it in the Downloads folder Mac OS X provides. Then you need to restore your iPod Touch’s software to 1.1.4. If you have trouble you can follow the instructions provided in this other tutorial . Follow the section labeled “Restore iPod Touch to 1.1.4” in that tutorial and then come back here for the rest. |
Once you have completed the restore process, simply open up iJailbreak. You will notice an extremely simple user interface with six simple options: Jailbreak, Add iPhone Apps, Restore, Contact, Website, and Donate.
| | Once you restore your iPod Touch make sure it is connected to your Mac and click on Jailbreak within iJailbreak. You can have iTunes open or closed, it is irrelevant as iJailbreak will close iTunes and force it to stay closed while it jailbreaks the iPod Touch. You will be prompted with your user password before it can continue.
| | After entering your user password iJailbreak will then prompt you with a window notifying you that you are running the 1.1.4 OS on your iPod Touch and for you to press “OK” to jailbreak the iPod Touch.
|
| | The next pop-up window it will prompt you with will ask you if you would like to install the iPhone applications that Apple charges iPod Touch users for. Make your decision and click on either yes or no as you deem fit. ;) | | | You will then notice iTunes immediately shut down if you have it open and your iPod Touch will go through a series of events, the first being to shut down and restart. Please do not disconnect your iPod Touch from the Mac at any point in time until the process has been completed. | | | | | | If you chose to add the iPhone Applications, you will notice it will reboot once again after the jailbreak has been completed to add the Apps. You will notice at the bottom of the actual program window that it will notify you that it is now “Adding App Pack to iPod Touch”.
| | | Upon completion you will notice that the iJailbreak program will display a window notifying you that the process has been completed and for you to “Enjoy your newly jailbroken iPod Touch”. You will notice in our print screens below that we now have a completely working iPod Touch with Installer and all of the iPhone Applications.
