Summerboard install froze up for me, also. I shut down the iPod, then following restart I went right back to d/l'ing summerboard and this time it went through just fine.

I can't seem to find an installable BSD subsystem in the Installer listings, though the iPod seems to have lots of working UNIX going on. Is a separate installation no longer needed?

(Also, this and related posts on OSCOT have been amazingly useful and enlightening. My sincerest thanks to the writers!) - pericat

I had the same problem. Easy fix, just power down from home screen and restart your iTouch. The themes will work properly afterwards - Paul

Eric, try restoring and jailbreaking again and make sure you clear the VRAM. I had the same issue (I couldn't connect to YouTube either) but all seems to be in order after a second attempt. - Ernie Moss

What kind of problems are you having with the installer themes? Are you getting an error message?

If you are trying to use them with SummerBoard make sure you are downloading the ones labeled SummerBoard. Let us know is you have any more problems. - Ricardo

Very good tutorial... But once you have the summerboard up and running, if you download other themes off of the Installer, they don't work. Is this a common problem !? - Eric
