The Screws Are Not Missing...

Kevin, If you check the second photo of the tutorial you will notice that there is one ring around each of the three screws at the top of the inside of the battery component. They are highlighted in the picture by having a red ring around them. You may have missed them.

We are going to make the rings a little more visible so as to avoid any problem like this again. - Ricardo

Nice photos, missed some screws

Good photos and descriptions.

But, did not mention the 3 screws in the battery compartment at the front of the unit. Unfortunately, I ended breaking the 3 brackets off the front of the top case because I didn't remove those screws. My unit is a 2008 MacBook Pro 17" -- maybe these instructions were for an earlier unit? - Kevin

Thanks for the great feedback Andy.

Please don't forget that the 15 inch MacBook Pro differs slightly inside than the 17 inch. We will be including the print screen for the 15 inch by this weekend hopefully. - Ricardo

Very informative and helpful. I'm about to install the same WD upgrade in my 15 inch MacBook Pro.

It's sort of unfortunate that this voids the warranty - doesn't seem right, since the MacBooks don't. I guess it's all in the amount of work you have to do. It is a more complex procedure.
