Want To See Search Results Instead Of Reading Them?

There is a new way to search the internet, www.searchme.com . It’s still as traditional as Google’s rudimentary but effective text model. However it adds a dash of Apple to the mix by providing a view of the website and some general information before you actually click on it.

Searchme.com’s interface seems clean, and runs relatively quick if you have a decent connection speed. Their main page is also very simple, just quite… um black.

The black background offers great contrast when looking at the websites after you have typed in your search query, but on the main page might be a little bit too much. Nonetheless their search engine has a great feature yet to be seen on major search engines. When you have a search query up if you hover over the bottom of the website on display in the center you will get a text box that will show you a short description of the site.

All in all, a great idea and a great website. Now let’s see if their search results are what we need as users, or if Google takes them in whole before anyone else can even try to. Regardless, hurry and get your beta membership like we did and tell us what you think. As of this writing they were allowing less than 1,000 new beta users.
