When trying to download a program from IE7 it will now prompt you with a security feature that makes you aware a website is trying to download an application or file to you.  You should acknowledge the information bar and check off the “Don’t show this message again” radial box if you are comfortable with understanding this.  If you want to leave it unchecked so the reminder prompts you, this is good as well.  In time you will become more familiar with it and possibly not need it at all.  These measures are meant to protect you and may seem annoying and unnecessary at first, but with everyday use you will begin to understand most of the prompts and suggestions.

Since we am more experienced and will be providing this manual to the end user, we’re going to check it off and follow procedure to allow IE 7 to download the file.  The program we am acquiring here called “Snag-It” will enable me to take the very same Print Screens that are being used in this manual.  Once the “Information Bar” window is gone, we would right click the top of the actual viewing window and be presented with 3 options; Download File…, What’s the Risk?, and More information.

Since we was trying to download the file to install the program, we chose Download File.
