Windows Vista: Register Windows Online

Registering your product will enable you to receive email updates and will enable Microsoft to contact you in the event of major upgrades, changes and additions to your operating system. We recommend registering to get the most out of your software.

Double-clicking the Register Windows online icon will bring Microsoft’s Windows Vista Registration welcome screen.

Microsoft requires you to have a Windows Live ID in order to be able to register your product. The Live ID is a good idea because f you own several Microsoft products you can register them easily, items such as but not limited to the Xbox 360. The beauty of your Live ID s that you can use just about any if not all major emails addresses you al ready have. For examples, if you have a Gmail email address, you can use it here and register the email address to as your Live ID. Decide on the password you will use and enter it along with the proper security option for the account on the PC you are using.

Next you will have the ability to review and sign the Microsoft; terms of use and online privacy statement. By typing your e-mail address in the text box and clicking “I Accept” you acknowledge that: you are in accordance to the “terms of use” and understand the “online privacy statement”.

The next screen will prompt you to fill in some required information in order to complete the Windows Vista Registration. Filling in the fields with a red stars are mandatory, all others are optional.

Once completed the next screen will warn you that you need to login to your email and open a “Verification E-mail” and follow the instructions provided.
